IXL Reading Skills: This link will show you what skills to practice in IXL to improve your MAP skills in your target area(s). If you are doing practice below grade level, your smart score should be 100 before moving on. If you are working at grade level your smart score should be at a 90 before moving on, and if you are working above grade level, you may move onto another skill if your smart score reaches an 80.

This link is a properly formatted paper, which follows MLA rules. I recommend opening this link, making a copy, and saving it to your google drive so you will always have a head start on your written assignments.
Using Evidence
Proper citation and thorough explanation of cited evidence will be emphasized throughout all the work we do this year. Your explanations, connections, and evidence will have different requirements for each claim and each intended audience, but the Purdue OWL has an excellent formatting and style guide for proper citation to help you remember the more technical stuff.
